Project Make It is looking for mentors to help teach STEM.
Project Make It is a STEAM afterschool program designed to teach kids coding, engineering, art, and teamwork.
Position type
- Part-Time – $15/hr college students, $25/hr professionals
- Positions for 3 Locations and Virtual needed

- Up to 9 hours per week ~Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 3:30pm – 6:00pm.
MiniGolf Challenge 2022-23
Starting in Fall 2022, Project Make It has challenged St. Louis students 5-12th grade to design and construct a playable miniature golf courses. The mini golf challenge is a 16 class robotics style build where students work in small teams to design and construct mini-golf holes out of cardboard. Each hole will feature motors and lights that will be programmed by the students. At the end of the challenge, we will put all the holes together to create a playable course and have a celebration with a judged competition.
Responsibilities
Project Make It is looking for motivated individuals to serve as mentors for the Mini-Golf Challenge.. Mentors assist with instruction, lead a group or teams of 3 kids and generally assist the kids through the coursework. Training is provided. Mentors are required to become familiar with the class material before the class begins. This role reports directly to the course instructor. This is a great opportunity to give to our community.

Project Make It is currently looking to hire virtual teaching assistants (TAs) to help with coding.

TAs are required to become familiar with the class material before the class begins. This role reports directly to the course instructor. This is a great opportunity to give to our community.

Position type
This is a part-time, contract position. The class will be held online. The class will run for 16 weeks beginning 10/6. Program takes breaks for holidays. Classes will be held daily for ~2.5 hours per day after-school. The contract would be for approximately 6 hours per week.
